The Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel is the headquarter facility for all the 2008 Accept the STEM Challenge Conference activities. The hotel is conveniently located five minutes from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and just ten minutes from downtown Atlanta. Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from the Atlanta Airport and to Atlanta's MARTA rail service providing public transportation to downtown Atlanta.
Room Rates through June 30, 2008
The contracted rate for the 2008 Accept the STEM Challenge Conference is $109 per night, single and double occupancy, Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 14%) in effect at the time of check-in. These rates are applicable three days prior and three days following the meeting for your convenience.
Hotel Reservation Instructions
Reservations can be made directly with the Hilton Atlanta Airport by calling 404-767-9000 or 1-800-445-8667. All attendees are urged to make reservations prior to June 30, 2008 and identify themselves as participants in the “2008 Accepting the STEM Challenge” Conference in order to ensure the special discounted room rate of $109 per night. As is the case with all conferences, the Georgia Partnership for Reform in Science & Mathematics is liable for picking up a contracted room block at our host hotel.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Shuttle Service from the Atlanta Airport:
The Hilton Atlanta Airport courtesy hotel shuttle service is available in the Ground Transportation area west curb, just immediately outside the Airport between the North and South terminals. Hotel shuttles are located in the Pink Bus aisle. The shuttle departs every 15 minutes from the hours of 4:00a.m. to midnight and is on call after midnight. Courtesy phones are also available inside the Terminal in the baggage claim area, as well as outside in the Ground Transportation area. Look for the Hilton Atlanta Airport silver and blue van.
Driving Directions from the North:
Take I-85/I-75 South. When the interstate splits, stay on I-85 south to Exit 73 (Virginia Avenue). Turn left onto Virginia Avenue. The Hilton Atlanta Airport is approximately 3 blocks on the left.
Driving Directions the South:
Take I-85 North. North on I-85 to Exit 73A (Virginia Avenue). Right onto Virginia Avenue off of exit ramp. The Hilton Atlanta Airport is approximately 3 blocks on the left.
Alternately, if traveling on I-75 North from Florida, continue on I-75 North to 285 West to I-85 North and continue on I-85 North to Exit 73A (Virginia Avenue). Right onto Virginia Avenue off of exit ramp. The Hilton Atlanta Airport is approximately 3 blocks on the left.
